  2. Congratulations to all concerned. There is nothing like a baby to bring a smile to one's face and warmth to one's heart. :)

  4. I only know of Hippo from various comments passed between John, Rachel, Tom and Cro, but have never followed his blog. I wish the little one all the best that life can bring.

  5. All the best for little Charlotte, and well done to the mother - she's had (and will have) most of the work involved!

    1. Actually, Hippo seems to be a very attentive, stay at home daddy.

    2. So is my friend's husband; they have had a daughter in April. But of course, he did not have to endure the discomfort of pregancy or the pain of giving birth, and he can not breastfeed... so in the end it is she who has to get up in the night to feed the baby. I did not mean the father wasn't doing anything at all, it is just that naturally, there are some things that fall to the mother, no matter how much the father wants to help.

  6. Gorgeous baby - lovely name - are you the proud grandfather by any chance?

  7. Wasn't it nice to receive that email? I thought there was a baby due any time. Lovely news ...and nice to know our old pal is still alive and kicking. Bet this little girl has him wrapped around her little finger already.

  8. I received it too and obtained Tom's permission to put it on my blog as well. I saw your name among the addressees, Helsie, but didn't see Neil's. Tom mentioned in his reply to me that Neil was also going to put the announcement over here.

Tom had stopped blogging in March of last year (14 months ago) and Marcia was expecting then, so this pregnancy with Charlotte could not be the same pregnancy. Realizing this helps me to partially understand the long silence. I do wonder about Tom's leg and also his restaurant.

  9. It's time to round up the posse...time to send out the search party. Yorkie is missing in action, or missing in non-action.

Who will volunteer to be the leader of the pack? Come on....hands up!

    1. You're right Lee. Three days without a blog - what's up YP? Could it be the same blight that attacks Weaver's Internet connection? Or have they finally caught up with him...
