Glad to see Neville Scott still around, as well. I was down in Australia over the winter and saw Andy Bryce, where the topic of your blog came up. My travels will be taking me down to Sheffield in a few weeks, It would be great to catch up with you in person. Drop us a line at my email to arrange it.
JohnAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10860353293881539359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13883584.post-84898436280357306432015-02-19T18:01:18.741+00:002015-02-19T18:01:18.741+00:00Amazed to find my name cited here. 37 years since ...Amazed to find my name cited here. 37 years since I left Stirling. Fairly often in Yorkshire, though, covering the county's cricket for The Times. But have you ever heard of Iain Banks, Tommy Sheridan, Jack McConnell? And James Naughtie is the current Chancellor.Yorkshire Puddinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019673884543913089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13883584.post-14482067274052644432015-01-25T10:41:12.681+00:002015-01-25T10:41:12.681+00:00I know my daughter's university grades were no...I know my daughter's university grades were not displayed in that manner. Oddly, I have been in touch for about ten years now with three or four classmates from my "growing up" school days in Mansfield. I attended one high school reunion, my 30th in 1988, but didn't make it to the 50th or 55th. Perhaps the 60th in three years, who knows?rhymeswithplaguehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10870439618129001633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13883584.post-67935852628497601292015-01-24T09:16:30.865+00:002015-01-24T09:16:30.865+00:00So you went to a Scottish University. I shall forever look at you differently YP. Oddly I don't know a single Scot who has been there. As for reunions, I love them. I have moved on - you would not believe how much - and so have my class mates, but many of them now make for fun and interesting conversation as opposed to back then when I did not want to have much to do with most of them.
Do they still post results for everyone to see? I doubt this can be done at a German uni, what with our data protection regulations here.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13883584.post-51916756312631554632015-01-23T20:54:02.413+00:002015-01-23T20:54:02.413+00:00I enjoyed this post, Yorky (I enjoy all your posts...I enjoyed this post, Yorky (I enjoy all your posts). I can imagine how you must have felt to see your name up at the top of the list. A memorable, worthy moment, indeed!

I never went to uni...but I'm not one for school reunions, either. I attended one (high school reunion); my only one ever, back in early 1980, but not another since. We move on in our lives...well...I, at least, I did and have. I have no desire to hang around with a pile of people I didn't know well back then...and certainly don't know now! :)Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15835982875620956300noreply@blogger.com
