Lawrence

I feel heartened by the number of bright  and politically astute Americans who are critical of the Trump regime. Over at YouTube, several of them regularly comment pointedly on his presidential  antics.

One of the most articulate and insightful of these observers is Lawrence O'Donnell who has a regular late night slot  called "The Last Word" on the MSN TV news channel.

Lawrence has enjoyed a varied and interesting career that has included writing, TV production, advisory political jobs in Washington and even acting. He is nobody's fool and he holds Donald Trump in absolute contempt, meticulously dissecting his outbursts, his character and his spurious claims.

I am creating this particular blogpost for American visitors as much as anyone else. You should be proud of this son of  Boston who tells it like it is. He is worth following. This was him just last night, speaking truth to power and not holding back...

  1. For impeachment, a majority is needed in the House.
For conviction /removal from office, a two-thirds majority is required in the Senate.

  4. I was not aware of him, so will follow him now, as I am quite fascinated by the politics of the USA. David Pakman is my favourite on YouTube.

  5. Trump certainly is The World's Worst Nightmare right now. He needs to be stopped because he truly believes the rubbish that he speaks. He doesn't understand logic or the way things are supposed to work. The big baby hears "no" and reacts as a toddler would, with attacks and tariffs.

  6. Haggerty answers one of my questions in why it is so difficult to get rid of#47 - a two third majority in the Senate is the answer. Why is power so enticing I wonder? Keeping an ill-educated moron in power just so you can add to your bank balance doesn't square right with most people.

  7. I expect the people who really need to see it won't watch it.

  8. I too have followed Lawrence for years. One of the best. Doesn't sugar-coat anything.

  9. I love O'Donnell and I follow him myself. I haven't watched this clip that you posted. I will make sure I do today. I just wish more people in the government would all rise up and say, "ENOUGH". We cannot survive three more years of this.

  11. He has that right... this man is the world's nightmare.

  12. I would apologize to the world but I had nothing to do with electing that bag of insanity and here we are...he is the world's nightmare as O'Donnell said.
And yet he still has power. Even as everyone knows he has no idea, whether through dementia or ignorance or some toxic mix of both, what the hell he is talking about.

  14. Thank goodness there are some sane people in the world, though it often doesn't seem like it.

  15. I find it bizarre that there are people still supporting him. His comments would be funny if he wasn't the most powerful man on the planet.
