Someone sent us a video clip. The short film was taken in Tideswell, Derbyshire on August 24th as Frances and Stew emerged from the church. I look at it now and it seems quite far away - like a piece of history - though it was only seven weeks ago. That day - it was magical - like a fairytale. The sun shone and all was well with the world. It was one of the best and proudest days of my life. If you click in the bottom right hand corner you can make the video "full screen".

That is a lovely clip to have and re-visit as the years go by! I love the sound of church bells. There is nothing quite like them.
ReplyDeleteShe was insistent that we paid for the church's bell-ringing team and their sound added to the joy.
DeleteLots of joy in that clip.
ReplyDeleteJoy being the keyword Red.
DeleteA lovely reminder of a happy, wonderful day...one to be cherished...and to be viewed often over the coming years.

ReplyDeleteOur daughter got married 4 years ago. We had a video shot of the whole day. I treasure it and often play it.
Lovely memories.
Frances and Stew decided not to have a proper video made. This was shot on my friend Ian's mobile phone.
DeleteShe certainly looked very beautiful there, and very happy. A lovely reminder of the day.
ReplyDeleteShe has inherited her beauty from me as I am also exceedingly beautiful.
DeleteSuch a joyful day and so many happy memories.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that it is an amateur video clip CG. Unpolished.
DeleteIt is a lovely keepsake to look back on. Someone took a cine film of my wedding and I still look at it fondly 40+ years later. I am sure Frances will do the same.
ReplyDeleteI am not in the video but I have watched it several times already ADDY. Magical.

ReplyDeleteYes. That was a nice, joyful touch.

ReplyDeleteThank you Margie.
DeleteNice !
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen.
DeleteSo much joy!
ReplyDeleteThat was lovely! At our wedding (back in 1971) an acquaintance of my parents came with his team and rang the church bells as a gift to us! Everyone loved it but I really can't say we two noticed as we were in another world that day. It was so kind of him. I appreciated it more in retrospect.
