  8. Huh, didn't do too well this time - 6/10 - I knew 2, 5, 6, 7, and 9 ! Geography was my favourite subject (after Art) when I was at school, but the world has changed a lot since then! Alaska has since become part of the USA for starters!

  11. Whilst I got most of the answers to your questions right - for heaven's sake the Nile was drummed into us at primary school age, not to mention Calcutta and the Ganges, Paris is on the Seine - once more I can confirm that I am not particularly competitive. So much so that my youngest sister once asked me why I put myself out to always let our other sister "win", always conceding that she is the best in whatever sphere of life. Well, you know, sometimes keeping peace intact, other people misguidedly happy, is worth more than our own I don't know what ... vanity, ego? I can afford it.

  12. Nearly perfect and might have been perfect depending on interpretation of number three. I guessed Chongquing, China and according to google, it does have the largest population (32 million to Tokyo's 13.5 million). But Tokyo has a larger population if you ignore city boundaries and lump in the suburbs.
