  10. My detestation of quizzes stems from the way my brain works and the fact that I have an appalling memory. Having said that because there was no pressure with this one I did moderately well.

    1. Sounds like you were just about the only quizzer who did "moderately well" Graham.

    2. That's very interesting, YP. You see under pressure I might have answered a few of the more obvious ones. With all the time in the world this was my result: 1, 2, 3 (guess), 5 (probably the easiest for someone my age), 6 (reasonably knowledgeable guess), 8 (guess) 10 (guess). I suppose the correct guesses may have been helped by knowledge I once had but could no longe be sure of. I've found this whole thing very enlightening.

  20. This quiz is packed with fascinating trivia! From the tallest free-standing structure in Great Britain to the origins of Swaziland’s new name, there’s a great mix of history, music, and science here. The Nebra Sky Disc, unearthed in Germany, is particularly intriguing—it’s considered one of the oldest known depictions of the cosmos. Looking forward to seeing the answers in the comments.

By the way, I’ve just shared a new post on melodyjacob.com. I’d love for you to take a look and share your thoughts.

  21. Thanks to everyone who gave my questions a try!
As for this quiz being considered hard: Most of the questions were taken directly from real life quizzes my team and I have attended, the main difference being that we never get multiple choice answers.
The question about cyber attacks on hospitals in Germany was used as a tie break question, the correct answer not intended to be actually known by anyone. At "our" pub quiz, tie questions are always about a number to be estimated, and who comes closest, wins.

  22. Duh! only 2 - Kate Bush and Madonna, but glad I'm not the only one who struggled to find the answers! Can't say I've ever heard of the Aquiva Tower or the Nebraska Sky Disc until now.
