Sitting on the roadside near Stanage Edge this afternoon. Though elderly and weather-beaten she looks as if she is auditioning for a role in "Yes, Minister!", playing the part of a haughty civil servant.

So there I was standing in the kitchen of our son's terraced house. Something caught my eye outside in his little urban garden. It was a...
She looks Italian. Why? I have no idea.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you once had an affair with an Italian woman who looked like that. Was she also horny?
DeleteSir Humphrey? Yes, I can see the likeness.
ReplyDeleteAnd civil servants are a little sheepish...
DeleteAw, she's very sweet! Basking in the sun...I like to do the same, and admit to being somewhat elderly & weather beaten my own self!
ReplyDeleteI was about to point out the similarity between this particular sheep and myself, too :-)
DeleteYes. She has also got an elegant, long neck and the short hair also suits her.
DeleteShe's very pretty. I never see sheep in my day to day life.
ReplyDeleteHaving visited America several times, I don't think I ever saw even a single sheep... but Donald Trump has many sheep-like followers.
DeleteShe is wonderful, I think I will call her Petunia.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip and thehamish
Petunia? You could invite her round for tea and cucumber sandwiches. "One lump or two Petunia?"
Delete"Baaaa!"
She is so beautiful I think she would have seconds on the cucumber sandwiches and plain tea.
DeleteTo me, there is nothing haughty in her expression - just enjoying the sun and maybe secretly smiling to herself about something we can't even begin to guess.
ReplyDeleteYou are defending her because she looks like you... apart from the horns.
DeleteA look of bliss and contentment on her face. We trust, YP, you didn't shout "mint sauce" as you passed by?
ReplyDeleteI think she was having a poo at that moment CG and expect that you display a very similar expression when sitting on the throne with the hole in the middle.
DeleteDon't know - I'm not one for contemplating my image when suitably enthroned ! I have other things to ponder...
DeleteShe is awesome . I have seen sheep when I went to India .

Thanks for calling by Shilpa.
DeleteWhereas all she is really doing is soaking up a bit of sunshine into that old frame I guess.
ReplyDeleteAnd heaven knows we have had far too little sunshine this past week.
DeleteI love her stylishly colored horns!
ReplyDelete(And you know, you make fun of me for taking pictures of insects having sex, but is it any better to photograph a post-orgasmic sheep?)
I swear I never laid a finger on her Steve! After all, I am neither Welsh nor a New Zealander.
DeleteA sweet, sweet face. :)
