Yes. It's interesting to discover who was born in your birth year or even your birth month. Who can you claim?
William Shatner and I share the 22nd of March as our birthday - but not in the same year! More interesting and less well known is the fact that I was born 100 years to the day after one of my great-grandfathers on my Dad's side. Opa Rösler (born 22.03.1868) was long gone when on 22.03.1968 I decided it was time to join my big sister.ReplyDelete
It is also my younger brother's birthday...born in 1956.Delete
So far I have found...ReplyDelete
Tom Hanks; Carrie Fisher; Mel Gibson; Theresa May ... Yikes! I'd better stop there.
Do you have any of the character traits of Theresa May? Stubbornness? Tunnel vision? No leadership skills? A penchant for expensive shoes?Delete
Only the last oneDelete
Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Drew Barrymore, David Beckham, Tiger Woods, Charlize Theron, Bradley Cooper, Christina Hendrix, Michael Bublé, 50 Cent....all in 1975.ReplyDelete
Sounds like 1975 was a vintage year...but not as good as 1953.Delete
1950 was a busy year for celebs too. Sharing my year of birth are..... Princess Anne, Stevie Wonder, Agnetha Faltskog (ABBA), Richard Branson, Robbie Coltrane, Karen Carpenter, Julie Walters, David Cassidy, Billy Ocean and many many more.....ReplyDelete
Like 1975, 1950 was obviously a vintage year - after all you were born in it Lady ADDY...but it wasn't as good as 1953.Delete
I don't know whether to smile or frown:ReplyDelete
Bernie Sanders, Paul Anka, Bob Dylan, Martha Stewart, Neil Diamond, Kim Jong-Il, Charo, Dick Cheney, Otis Redding, Jesse Jackson, Pete Rose, Robert Kraft, Chubby Checker, Faye Dunaway, Richard Dawkins, Linda McCartney, Mama Cass Elliot, Ryan O’Neal, Joan Baez, Art Garfunkel
The year was 1941. Some of them are dead.
Bob Dylan...Joan Baez...Art Garfunkel...Jesse Jackson...Wow! What a year to be born in. Shame about Dick Cheney though.Delete
I share my birthdate with the last remaining member of the Mamas and the Papas: Michell Phillips. Diana Ross, Brenda Lee and Gladys Knight were 1944 babies too.ReplyDelete
You can form a supergroup together Graham. You'd be on triangle and maracas. You'd be called 4Tea4.Delete
You made a major error for October. Red was born in October and since I was born before You I get the honor of being the best person born in October and I'm not sharing!!!ReplyDelete
I thought you were born in 1963 Red - not 1953.Delete
I was getting old by 1963!Delete
You have quite a list there. I was born in 1952 and among others there was also Douglas Adams, Liam Neeson, Patrick Swayze and Isabella Rossellini.ReplyDelete
Sounds like a good year Bonnie...but not as good as 1953.Delete
You tell him, Red! lolReplyDelete
I can't find anyone of any note who was born in May 1957. Figures :)
You were born in the same month as Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols! Jenny Vicious has a nice ring to it, don't you think?Delete
Are you trying to tell me something?! lol I didn't realize I came across in quite that way :)Delete
And, I read that the first time as Jenny Viscous, which is even worse.
Pardon me, I shouldn't have said "of any note" but "whose name I recognized" ~~ReplyDelete
Erno Rubik - needing little explanation was born in 1944.
https://www.thefamouspeople.com/november-11th.php Also the late Colonel David Hackworth, the highly-decorated US soldier, (and author) if not the most highly-decorated soldier in the US Army, whom I was fortunate enough to be friends with back in the late 70s-early 80s when he lived here in Australia was born on the same date as me....11th November. David was a fine man - highly intelligent and lots of fun to know.
Francis Ford Coppola visited David in Sydney to converse with him at length, before he, Coppola began filming the much-acclaimed "Apocalypse Now"...it has been said the characters played by both Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando in that movie were based around David Hackworth.
He was buried at Arlington National Military Cemetery, Arlington County Virginia in the US.
How splendid that you knew David Hackworth. Diana Ross, Joe Cocker, Roger Daltrey and Jimmy Page were also born in your birth year.Delete
Oh...David was to great fellow, Yorkie. A very impressive human being, indeed - one to be admired.Delete
As shown on the date etc., shown below is a post I wrote about him in my blog....

IN MEMORY OF....DAVID HACKWORTH....
