Video

Someone sent us a video clip. The short film was taken in Tideswell, Derbyshire on August 24th as Frances and Stew emerged from the church. I look at it now and it seems quite far away - like a piece of  history - though it was only seven weeks ago. That day - it was magical - like a fairytale. The sun shone and all was well with the world. It was one of the best and proudest days of my life. If you click in the bottom right hand corner you can make the video "full screen".

  1. That is a lovely clip to have and re-visit as the years go by! I love the sound of church bells. There is nothing quite like them.

    1. She was insistent that we paid for the church's bell-ringing team and their sound added to the joy.

  7. Wonderful!
Our daughter got married 4 years ago. We had a video shot of the whole day. I treasure it and often play it.
    Lovely memories.

    1. Frances and Stew decided not to have a proper video made. This was shot on my friend Ian's mobile phone.

    1. I like the fact that it is an amateur video clip CG. Unpolished.

  10. It is a lovely keepsake to look back on. Someone took a cine film of my wedding and I still look at it fondly 40+ years later. I am sure Frances will do the same.

  13. How lovely - and it was wonderful to hear the bells ringing - what a beautiful day - and a beautiful bride.

  14. That was lovely! At our wedding (back in 1971) an acquaintance of my parents came with his team and rang the church bells as a gift to us! Everyone loved it but I really can't say we two noticed as we were in another world that day. It was so kind of him. I appreciated it more in retrospect.
