Comparison

What do you think about different corned beef brands? All of us could do with expert advice as I am sure it is a pressing issue for all corned beef consumers. That is why I turned to Bald Foodie Guy...
Bald Foodie Guy lives in the north west of England and I must declare explicitly that HE IS NOT ME!

There's a lot of stuff happening out there in the world right now. From religious wars to grifting presidents and from A.I. to the rise of the right. It's hard to keep your eyes on things that really matter - like selecting the best corned beef brands from discount supermarkets. Thank you Bald Foodie Guy!

  1. I have not eaten corned beef in decades. I have to tell you though, I do very much love a good corned beef hash with potatoes and onions.

  3. I am not a big fan of corned beef and if I do want some I buy it presliced off a larger piece in the deli section at the supermarket and it is always nice. I remember the canned stuff from childhood, ham too from a can with a key to wind it open, but don't remember the brands. Probably they are still available, but I never seek them out. I remember the ham had jelly while the corned beef had the fat like the one in the video and my dad would carefully remove that and sling it in the frying pan to cook his eggs.
I do wonder about the "awful/nasty" tasting one with that greenish tinge at one end, if maybe it went "off" being kept in a cupboard with the heatwave, and possibly stored wrongly before it ever got to the store. I know I wouldn't buy it again no matter what the reason was.
