AI means Artificial Intelligence. We have all heard about it but now through Microsoft Image Creator we are seeing evidence of AI in action. It is getting closer to our everyday lives. I was telling my daughter about it and she sent back some amusing images that were also created with the aid of AI but obviously not Microsoft Image Creator. They made me chuckle.
Here's Mr B.Johnson cleaning a hospital toilet. At last he has found a suitable niche in this complicated world - not "King of the World" after all but maintenance operative number 27...
Here's another former prime minister, Ms L. Truss, working behind a bar and so at long last learning a little bit about how economics work...
Look at that pavlova! It is a thing of beauty!
ReplyDeleteAnd it was a delight to eat.
DeleteLiz looks at home there. Lovely dessert
ReplyDeleteGetting money from customers and using the till is teaching Liz a lot about basic economics.
DeleteWell done image works and an extra well done and decorated pavlova.
ReplyDeleteThank you Judge Andrew.
DeleteThose are very clever photos and the pavlova is beautiful! How wonderful to have a family dinner at the new place.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen at the rental house was so cramped and the oven was unreliable. Now they have space and a big modern oven
DeleteSo some day will AI say move over buddy?
ReplyDeleteYes. A.I. will say, "You guys can leave. It's our planet now!"
DeleteThe best picture here is the Fruit Pavlova. I LOVE pavlova!! I used to get one every year on my birthday, sometimes it would be a Black Forest Cake instead, but pavlova is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat a homemade pavlova with fresh berries and cream - especially in the summertime.
DeleteIt is amazing and a bit disquieting to see those faked photos of people we know. Pictures have always been changed or even just cropped to manipulate viewers’ opinions, but they can now be done so perfectly and convincingly that it is hard to ever trust again in a picture in a magazine or on a website.
ReplyDeleteThe Easter pavlova looks good!
As you are someone who is involved with data, the possibilities of A.I must be especially concerning.
DeleteIf only those pictures were true YP? Bucks Fizz-My Camera Never Lies.
ReplyDeleteNow the camera has a habit of lying.
DeleteNext, a photo of Mr YP's recent afternoon walk: his stroll to the top of the Matterhorn.
ReplyDeleteIt was so easy, I just wore flip flops.
DeleteFull time job these days just deciding what to believe or not!
ReplyDeleteSeeing is not believing any more.
DeleteDid you save me a piece of that Pav?
ReplyDeleteNope! Because you made me look like Margaret Thatcher who I despised with all my being.
DeleteFor a moment, I thought you were posting about the big dual carriageway that runs from north to south to London.
ReplyDeleteThe A1 reaches to Edinburgh and up there beyond Berwick-on-Tweed, big stretches of the road are not dual carriageway. Maybe I will blog about the A1 another day. Sorry to have disappointed you ADDY.
DeleteThat dessert looks delicious! How are Frances and Stew enjoying the new house? :)
ReplyDeleteLoving it and Little Phoebe has so much more space - including her own playroom.
DeleteFrances's pavlova looks great! There is a certain justice in all those AI images, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteYes there is. They made me laugh! Does that make me wicked?
DeleteI am sure that Frances and Stew are so pleased with their new home. That dessert is wonderful! Frances is a talented cook!
ReplyDeleteThey had two and a half years in a cold rental house and they paid around $1250 for that privilege. They are so much happier about their snug new house which is more spacious and only nine minutes walk from our house.
DeleteYet again I find myself in agreement with Meike's comments. The possibilities for AI to change the truth are endless and worrying. Frightening to think that future generations may come to accept altered images as genuine.
ReplyDeleteThe Pavlova is fabulous!
There's no need to think for yourself any more Carol! Meike will do it for you.
DeleteFrances is an artist as well as a chef. I am proud to have her and Stewart's picture on my desk.
