This time last year I was eagerly anticipating the publication of the first "BOSH!" cookbook. The book was launched with much brouhaha at Borough Market in London on April 19th. I blogged about the event here.

In the months that have passed by since that happy launch day, the book has become a tremendous success. Sales have far exceeded expectations and "Bosh!" has become Britain's best-selling vegan cookbook of all time.

Our son Ian and his "Bosh!" partner Henry have appeared on several TV and radio shows and have featured in various newspapers and magazines. It has been a helluva ride for them.

Their publisher - Harper Collins - wanted to see a second "Bosh!" book on the market before a year had passed so Ian and Henry knuckled down and came up with a whole new cookbook which they have named "Bish Bash Bosh". It will be published on April 4th and this is the front cover:-
Last week they spent two days signing inner pages ahead of the binding process. They had 13,000 books to sign! A sweet kind of punishment. The "Bosh!" phenomenon continues. Let's hope that "Bish Bash Bosh" mirrors the success of the first book.

If you are interested, you can pre-order a copy of "Bish Bash Bosh" from Amazon UK. Go here. Non-UK ordering sources are shown on the "Bosh!" website. Go here.

    1. There have already been discussions about that Bonnie but it appears to be on ice for the time being.

  3. Congrats to both of the Bosh Boys on a second book! I've heard of that pre-binding book-signing thing. I forget what those inserts are called but they have a name. Veganism is such a thing now!

    1. Since they began their journey veganism has become so much more newsworthy. It has been a super co-incidence Steve.

  4. May their good work continue to be so successful.
I am trying to imagine how I would go about it if I had to sign my name 13,000 times. Would I split it up into 100s, taking a short break after each 100? Or would I just put my nose to the grind and do as many as I could in as little time as possible before I'd be so exhausted they'd have to cart me off on a stretcher?

    1. It was like a conveyor belt with Harper Collins staff feeding them the pages and moving them on.

  5. How absolutely wonderful for the two fine young men. I think this is just absolutely fantastic.

You and Shirley must be so rightfully proud.

What an achievement for them both. They've worked hard...are working hard and deserve all the rewards coming their way.

    1. We are indeed very proud Lee and if it all collapsed tomorrow we would still be very proud of what Ian and Henry have done.

    1. Ian's signature is done very swiftly and you can't really read it so I think the last one would have been similar to the first.

  8. Frances asked my question!

Wishing both men continued grand success. Their product was the right thing in the right place at the right time and they have worked hard to make the most of it. A winning combination.

    1. "Right place...right time". Yes. Ian and Henry's mission has happened at the very time that veganism and vegetarianism have moved to the mainstream.
