It has been raining all day. Tomorrow will be much better. I am making a chilli for our tea. Our friend Tony will also partake of this meal as he will staying over night with us and taking a clifftop stroll in the morning. The weather boffins claim there will be no rain tomorrow and who am I to dispute that?
I am typing this on my old laptop - the one with the malfunctioning "S" key. Consequently, this blogpost is about to come to a shuddering halt. I leave you with photos of Flamborough that I took this morning on my rainy visit to the village "Co-op" stores for a few extra provisions.
May the weather forecasters be correct! And you know- you might be able to get that s-key fixed quite easily. If, of course, the laptop is worth fixing.
ReplyDeleteThere will be right sunshine when you awake and you'll have a lovely day for sailing your little boat.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the malfunctioning key. So annoying. My own laptop has developed such a malfunction with the key for the letter "r." Mostly I use an external keyboard - not really a satisfactory solution because now the screen is that little bit further away and I still need to use the touchpad on the laptop itself, but at least then I can type at normal speed. If not, I need to copy an "r" and then control-V my way round the problem until, for some reason, I need to copy and paste something else, and then go back and find another "r." What I really need to do is swallow my pride/overcome my distrust (relating to some only slightly sharp practice by the computer shop in the past) and pay the not inconsiderable fee the computer shop has quoted me to fix it.
ReplyDeleteHope the weather clears up as predicted.
It looks so lovely there even with the rain, I bet it is cold though.
ReplyDeleteToday is Wednesday, so I hope the weather is better and you are already out and about exploring in glorious sunshine.
ReplyDeleteNowhere looks attractive in the rain, so it's not surprising that Flamborough doesn't look very enticing. Interesting house signs.
Sounds like a relaxing day, and an idea for what I am going to fix for dinner.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the rain. Wishing you clear skies and beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteI associate the coast of England with rain. I would be more surprised if the weather guys said it was going to be sunny for your entire trip.
ReplyDeleteAh! I wondered why you used "z" instead of "s" in a recent comment on my blog. :)
