I got 6/10 which is not very good. I'm ashamed I missed the US state flag!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I won't inform The White House.
DeleteSadly I only knew the Jolly Roger and the Yorkshire flag (and not because of the hint you gave, but because of my reading about the Wars of the Roses and knowing the York flag had a white rose). Pretty sad that I didn't even guess Hawaii! I guess I should just move to England! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have been poorly Jennifer. If you had been in the best of health I am sure you would have scored 10/10!
DeleteI'm not even trying this quiz. I don't know flags at all.
ReplyDeleteI bet you know the flag of Illinois with a bald eagle perched on a rock with wings uplifted and holding a shield, with a banner in its beak and sunrise over water in the background.
DeleteI got one this time! Maybe I should give up!
ReplyDeleteOne is better than none - by one.
DeleteRe No 7, You are obviously confused. The Sussex flag contains three Martlets, not a fried egg.
ReplyDeleteI thought the Sussex flag bore the image of a balding ginger prince and a whingeing American maiden.
DeleteGoodness! I only got 1, 4, 7, 9 and 10 right - that's 50 % and doesn't bode well for my team's first pub quiz of this season on 30 September. Good job that one my team mates is quite knowledgeable about this sort of thing. And had I not gotten #7 right, it would have been a major disappointment, wouldn't it!
ReplyDeleteYes that would have been a major disappointment - especially as you would have been barred from ever visiting Yorkshire again.
Delete10/10 today but a couple were guesses.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant Elsie. Intelligent guesswork is a big part of quizzing.
DeleteI got 5.....the others were all wrong guesses!
ReplyDeleteBlame the dog Frances!
Delete3/10. I am clearly not good with flags, but I thought I made some good educated guesses. Obviously not.
ReplyDeleteBack to flag school for you my lad.
Delete10/10 only got Hawaii by process of elimination as I knew it wasn’t any of the other three.
ReplyDeleteExcellent. Well done Traveller. Award yourself a small bar of milk chocolate.
DeleteOh dear 4/10!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise that Hawaii has the Union Jack as part of it's flag - does Trump know about this?
No so please don't tell him or Hawaii will end up with clenched buttocks on its flag with a noxious "trump" being emitted.
Delete6/10, not bad, but not good either. Very vexing.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe vexillating Shammy - if there is such a word!
Delete7/10...I need to study up on the African nations and thank my lucky stars for some good guesses!
ReplyDelete1. Norway; and that was a guess.
ReplyDelete2. Thailand; and that was a guess and it was wrong.
3. Hawaii; and I only know this because I lived on Maui for a spell.
4. Vexillophile; a total guess because the others sounded familiar but not flaggy.
5.Egypt; again a guess.
6. Triangulandia; as you see my guessing has gone off the rails.
7. Yorkshire!
8. Chile; this one I knew, too!
9. The Jolly Roger! Bam! Nailed it!!
10. Sicily; I know that's wrong because it doesn't look like Sicily but my guessing game failed me.
7 of ten; not too shabby.
1/10, only because you told us what the one flag was. Just about a perfect loss otherwise:)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jennifer. I couldn't have answered more than those two to save my life.
ReplyDelete6 out of 10 correct.
ReplyDelete5/10, which was more than expected - not being a vexillophile myself...
ReplyDelete5/10 - I don't improve, but I did know vexillophile. 😉
