Unfortunately. the result of the "Quiztime" referendum that appeared here on November 18th was inconclusive. Consequently, the production team here at Pudding Tower will simply carry on in their own merry way creating random quizzes for your amusement. For example, today's quiz happens to be all about Canada. As usual, answers will be given in the comments that succeed this blogpost.

I missed the total number of lakes, and the Canadian blogger. So 8/10 -- I guess they'll let me keep my Canadian passport -- phew!
ReplyDeleteNo. I don't think they will. I got these questions from the Canadian government website under "Citizenship Approval Questions".
DeleteOkay, so "going on the run and hiding from the Feds" is now on my Xmas To Do List.
DeleteWell I recognise Red & the Micromanager and I got Ms Atwood and I know what poutine is. So I didn't do well.
ReplyDeleteOh dear oh dear! Back to school for you young lady!
Delete9/10.... I got the number of lakes wrong.... and I live in Canada!
ReplyDeleteThat's true Shammy but back in Devon there's still a lot of in-breeding.
DeleteI only got 4, 7 and 9 correct. Hardly surprising.
ReplyDeleteI detect a uncharacteristically bitter snarl behind those last two words.
DeleteSnarl, me?! I wouldn‘t even know how to do that!
DeleteAnd as for bitterness, I am way too sweet for that 😁
Would have been very upset to have not scored full marks on this one.
ReplyDeletePity you didn’t ask where Neil Young was from…Red and I could have continued the discussion.
"Very upset"? Hell, it's only a quiz Traveller! But WELL DONE!
DeleteAs a pedant I would like to point out answers a, b and c are all correct with respect to lakes.
DeleteAS a fascist quiz dictator, I would like to point out that you have now had three points deducted!
DeleteAs a friend I would say ** **** ** * ****
DeleteAs a belligerent fellow who likes to have the last say, I would also say ** **** ** * ****!
DeleteI got 6, but a lot of guessing, and some detective work for No. 4 !! The guessing didn't work for 3,6 8 and 10 ! (Will now go and read a bit of No.4 !! ). Good Quiz, thanks.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain......I see from my weather app that is is raining over you as much as it is here at the moment.
It never rains in Sheffield Frances. We have sunshine every day.
DeleteI only got 1, 9 and 10. I was even unsure about 1 as I thought he was American but obviously recognised the photo
ReplyDeleteHe was born and raised in Montreal which is in Canada I believe.
Delete70%, two I have no idea, one miss was a guess.
ReplyDeleteUnlike your omnipotent emperor, you did not score 100% on this cognitive test.
Delete9/10. I didn't realize how many lakes we had but it makes sense. I can attest to how delicious poutine is, and I have been to the top of the CN tower. I have also walked past BC place (where the Whitecaps play) while visiting Vancouver. Finally, a quiz where I can answer the questions. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou got lakes to spare honey!
DeleteI'm reluctant to reveal my score. but let's just say that I know very little about Canada. 2,7 and 9 were the only ones I knew! Yes - I know - I must do better!
ReplyDeleteSee me in my study after school young lady!
Delete5 correct and 5 wrong!
ReplyDeletePerfect harmony!
Delete7 or 8. I'd like to claim that on question No 3, the first three alternatives must ALL be considered correct... ;-) ( I did recognise Leonard Cohen straight away; but not Margaret Atwood, or the tower in No 2.)
ReplyDeleteLike Traveller above, you risk having points docked by questioning my supreme authority!
DeleteDawn, you can have one of my perfect 10 marks.
DeleteDon't be daft Traveller - you haven't got any spare perfect ten marks to share! And please do not try to undermine my quizmaster authority or I will send you to Camp Alligator or that special facility in El Salvador.
DeleteI'm a bit late to the party but I got #9 and #10 correct.
ReplyDeleteI was way off on no. 3, and I did not know no. 8, but I guessed no. 5 correctly! I had no idea Margaret Atwood is Canadian. I thought she was British.
