4. the knee bone is connected to the thigh bone
5. (d) rabbit
6. (a) "Julius Caesar"
7. (b) femur

6/10. I'd like a half point for question #4, please. It depends which part of the song you're singing (it goes in reverse at one point) whether the knee bone is connected to the thigh bone or the leg bone. I've never heard of Bonios. We have Milk Bones over here. I also missed rabbit (I was wavered between that and mouse) and the number of bones. I'm currently working a jigsaw puzzle of the human skeletal system and it sure seems like more than 206!
ReplyDeleteThere are different versions of that song so being the generous fellow I am I will allow you the extra half point.
DeleteAh, only 9 correct this week.
ReplyDelete"Must try harder"
Delete7 out of 10 correct.
ReplyDelete3 out of 10 incorrect.
DeleteNine out of ten for me. With a doctor for a daughter it couldnt be less. But the dog biscuit stumped me getting a perfect score.
ReplyDeleteA quiz about bones and the biscuits were bone-shaped - "Bonio"!
DeleteI used to give my dog Bonios but they were enormous bone-shaped bars. The smaller ones, as in the photo, were called Gravy Bones. That's what threw me.
DeleteAnd the easy connection we were supposed to make between BONE-shaped biscuits and the name BONio felt just too easy, like a trick question.
DeleteAll right , but hey I’m a nurse
ReplyDeleteYou mean nurses cheat by using their smartphones?
DeleteI got them all except #9 -- "Bonio." Never heard of that brand. Or the other ones, quite frankly. In North America, those bone-shaped doggy treats are called "Milk Bones."
ReplyDeletePlease see my response to Meike the LIbrarian below.
DeleteI had no way of knowing #9, and I don't know the song "Dem Bones", so I missed #4 as well. With #1, funnily enough I knew that this exact question (without multiple choice answers) had been asked some years ago at the Pub Quiz in my local, but I forgot the correct answer and opted wrongly for 506.
ReplyDeleteResult: 7 out of 10, while I still think asking for a particular brand of dog bisquits is NOT a truly international topic.
The quiz was about bones and the dog biscuits were bone-shaped - hence "Bonio". Contestants were being led to that option rather than the other three.
Delete8/10...not bad! Missed 1 and 3.( Bones are on my mind having had a hip replacement 2 weeks ago!!)
ReplyDeleteRather you than me Frances. I hope that your recovery has started off well - without complications.
Delete9/10 today, I didn't know which Shakespeare play.
ReplyDelete7 out of 10 correct, glad I am not that kind of a doctor.
ReplyDelete7/10! Failed on 1,3, and 10!
ReplyDeleteAddy is right about the dog bones - those in your photo aren't Bonios, they are too small and the wrong shape.
10/10 - though No 1 was in a quiz I did on Tuesday. The question was 206 B in a HB
ReplyDelete1. 206
ReplyDelete2. Clavicle. Wrong.
3. Hands
4. Thigh Bone
5. Rabbit
6. All's Well ... Wrong.
7. Tibia. Wrong.
8. Drum
9. Milk Bones Wrong? In the US Milk Bones look like the photo
10. Calcium
6, or maybe 7, of ten correct.
8/10 - 206 seems far too small a number of bones!!
