Have you been thinking of going to see the new blockbuster documentary film, "Melania"? Perhaps you need the help of a widely respected British film critic giving his honest views on the film after sitting through all 104 minutes of a production that cost $40 million to make and was mostly funded by Jeff Bezos of Amazon.
Hyped up in some quarters and derided in others, it's hard to know what to think but here Mark Kermode provides his expert independent view of "Melania". It should help you to decide:-
I hear it's up for the FIFA Academy Award for Best Picture!
ReplyDeleteThe Trumps should invite that tosser Gianni Infantino back to present it.
DeleteShe got her looks from her father. He's a plastic surgeon.
ReplyDeleteGroucho Marx
Actually, he was a car salesman.
DeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteYou think that pile of crap is "excellent" Bruce?
DeleteI have read a lot about this movie. The money aspect is one thing. I might watch it if it is on an OTT platform just to understand how it is!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't even watch it if I was dead!
DeleteAll those things he said about the movie only reinforces my decision to NEVER see it.
ReplyDeleteI bet you would go to see the equivalent Australian biopic: "RIVER".
DeleteI never intend to see it and wouldn't be caught dead in a theater watching it. Humiliating. I don't understand why anyone thinks Melania is so beautiful. I find Michelle Obama and Jill Biden much more attractive. Laura Bush too.
ReplyDeleteMelania looks like a younger Arnold Schwarzenegger but with a Barbie doll wig.
DeleteThere is not enough bourbon in Kentucky, for me to sit through this horror show.
ReplyDeleteI bet you would sit through a very similar biopic called "JAMES".
DeleteI like to have my own opinion about a film and let reviews of others influence me, unless it is someone I know whose taste in films is similar to mine. Having said that, I am just not interested enough in Melania Trump as a person to watch an entire film about her.
ReplyDeleteI would not watch "Melania" if Trump paid me a thousand bucks but I would happily watch a biopic about a nice and rather elegant German woman titled "Meike".
DeleteTypo in my answer - of course I meant "I like to have my own opinion [...] and NOT let reviews [...] influence me", but it seems you understood what I wanted to say.
DeleteI wonder who would play "Meike" in "Meike".
Meike would play herself but if Meike felt too shy to do this, the part would go to the German film actress Paula Beer.
DeleteNot my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteNo. Your cup of vomit.
DeleteI rarely watched videos embedded in blogs but did watch this one and am glad I did.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, the review was more political commentary than it was a film review. I think it is appropriate to put things in context. If someone enjoyed the film very much, I think it is a sad reflection on that person.
When it eventually comes to Amazon Prime, for free, I will start watching in but doubt I will last long.
Had you put that photo of Melania in one of your quizzes, without any further clues, I doubt I'd even have been able to say who it was. Which should be some clue to how interested I'd be in the film...
ReplyDeleteWill I see it? That's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite review is that the documentary is just like Melanie, empty.
I feel like puking just listening to the review. Or, as was said in the review, "sicking up."
ReplyDeleteI will never watch it.
ReplyDeleteNever ever will I ever! I could not be less interested.
ReplyDeleteNot a movie I would waste my precious time on, but I did enjoy the short video that you posted. What a piece of work those Trumps are... what a load of rubbish.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way on God's green earth that I will ever pay money to see this movie. In fact, I won't watch it for free! "When she says working, she means trying on frocks." LOL!
ReplyDelete"She makes Derek Zoolander seem smart." ROFL!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd pull my eyeballs out to avoid seeing this.
ReplyDeleteI heard that two-thirds of the production team asked for their names NOT to appear in the credits.
