Messing

Blogger David Godfrey in his dream car

I have been doing a bit of messing about with AI- produced imagery courtesy of Microsoft Image Creator. You load up a  photo of your own and the AI machinery does the rest in the twinkling of an eye. It's all quite amazing really and to think that AI is still  very much in its infancy. The possibilities are surely boundless.

If you think you might get a kick out of making your own AI images , go here. This is the facility that I have been using though I am sure there are other pathways into creating AI images.

This was our little Margot on World Book Day...

And here's the AI version with Margot as a toy figure:-

Here's my new friend Richard Hines:-
And here are two AI takes on him:-
This was me and Phoebe on the occasion of my seventieth birthday:-
And here we are as a pencil drawing:-
This is my wife, Shirley as a fire fighter
And finally, this was the three grandchildren last weekend. You might remember the photo that spawned this simple AI image:-
Oh yes blogmates, you can have hours of fun making images with the help of AI. Please don't ask me why - it's just fun.

  2. I'm sure it is hours of of fun, but for me those hours are better spent reading.

  3. Was Shirley impressed with your efforts with her as a firefighter? I am impressed with your manipulations. Maybe you could you show Shirley in an old fashioned nurses uniform, complete with starched looking hat.

  4. Eighty plus Ingrid in Waterloo has been colouring old black and white photos with AI, and with a recent one, added in a background of Rocky Mountains to an otherwise bland photo.

  5. Ai is good but don't you think something is missing? In particular the pencil drswing of yourself and Phoebe.

  6. Thanks for the link. I have experimented a bit with the image creator "in the past" - but when I revisited now I realise they've added new features (templates) that I haven't tried out yet.

  7. The wind must be blowing my hair back in that image. I Mercedes SCL would probably be THE car. I need to get the top fixed on my VW EOS, it stopped going up and down again.

  8. I have created a few AI images myself, and it is indeed fun. It is hard to believe that this technology is in its infancy. Who knows what is to come!

  11. I had a bit of fun with AI image creation when I was first introduced to it, but now it freaks me out too much. I think I'm not a fan.

    1. I tried to use your retirement image to make an AI Steve doll in a box but I was repeatedly blocked!

  12. I know it can easily become hours of fun - when Monica started with Image Creator in the past, I tried it out myself and have been using this and similar applications frequently to create images to enhance presentations I give at work, especially in the context of AI and Data Protection.
And now I want a Margot toy figure for Christmas, followed by a Phoebe one for my birthday next March. This toy figure series could become a serious competitor to many other toy figures, replacing the countless "Elsas" of "Frozen" fame in childrens' bedrooms.

  15. I've found it useful when I dont have an image for something that I want to illustrate, or need to improve a photo that needs a bit of help. Can't beat drawing by hand though.
