DeleteHaggerty the smarty pants show-off didn't get one correct.
I'd forgotten about Apollonius of Tyana who stopped speaking for years,
I quiz a couple of times a month and read a lot. Unless it is celebrities, sport or 1980-2000 Brit Tv that didn’t cross the pond, I’ll give it a go. I have also dipped my toe into being a Quiz Master
Delete9/10
ReplyDeleteWell, I only got 5/10. But I was CLOSE with the Swedish currency. I said "kroner." And my first guess for the 2nd U.S. President was John Adams but then I switched to Thomas Jefferson, D'OH! I completely missed Nairobi, Western Australia, and T Rex.
ReplyDeleteI misread the first question and thought I was supposed to name two of the seven. (I can name all seven, but didn't pick either of those as my two)
ReplyDeleteI had a brain lapse on Nairobi, said Kroner instead of Krona, blanked on the musical group, and picked Ben Affleck instead of Matt Damon (I always think of them as a pair).
So I guess I didn't do that well.
7/10
ReplyDelete6 out of 10. I should have known Matt Damon but couldn't remember. My excuse? It wasn't yet 6:00 am when I started reading the questions and thinking about the answers. I have to take an early train to Munich today.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I like General Knowledge!
Managed 7 - need to watch more movies and learn US history.
ReplyDelete7/10 for me, I missed #3,6 &8
ReplyDeleteHaggerty is a smarty-pants show-off.
ReplyDeleteThe sad old guy's just drifting through life, River.
DeleteWrong, 2, 3, 9 so 7/10.
ReplyDeleteI got 6 ! MIssed 3.4.8 and 9.
ReplyDeleteOnly 6 for me. Know nuttin' about movies or US presidents and got the wrong Australian state too.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least I knew No 6! - I did also know one of the pyramids in Egypt was among the seven wonders, but couldn't recall the name. On the other hand the name Alexandria did pop to mind - but connected to the famous ancient (lost) library rather than the lighthouse...
ReplyDelete10/10
ReplyDeleteMy brain is having a day off. I didn't even attempt to answer one. I enjoyed reading the answers though!!
ReplyDeleteFour correct, oh well.
ReplyDelete4 correct for me.
ReplyDelete1. The Great Pyramids
ReplyDelete2. Nairobi [I believe it's the only city in Kenya that I know]
3. John Adams
4. I cannot think of her name, gosh darn it.
5 Swannen. I kid because I do not know.
6. The clueless? Again I kid.
7. Now I'm really feeling dumb.
8. Even a music one stumps me!!
9. Chalamet? I don't know.

Started off good then sank like a stone.
I got everything but the first one. I thought it was the LIBRARY of Alexandria that was the marvel, not the lighthouse! Oh well.
