Postcard

Dear All,
This is the view from our hotel at Sissi on the north coast of Crete. I took the picture last evening . The island on the horizon is Dhia but we won't be going there. I am typing this near the hotel reception where the wi-fi connection is okay but now it is time to go for another swim and to see if Shirley has fried to a crisp on her sunbed. Perhaps a cold "Mythos" beer from the fridge is also in order. Life can be so hard sometimes.
Best wishes,
Yorkshire Pudding

  2. Except for that strange mountainous object in the distance, Crete beaches look just like Florida beaches. Where we went, however, that would be a sunrise and not a sunset. Moonrises are very nice also.

    1. Sunsets/sunrises/moonrises/moonsets unite the people on this planet. We all marvel at them.

  3. Dear Holidaymakers,
A view of your hotel would probably not be as interesting as the view from it. I hope the rooms are clean and the nosh excellent. Enjoy all the swimming, sunbathing and sightseeing (if you have time for any)!
    Best wishes,

    1. Dear Meks,
We have a car booked for three days from Monday morning so will be doing a little more sightseeing - Spinalonga being on our list.
Enjoy your office work and do as the boss tells you!
      Regards,
      Red Pudding

  4. Yep! Life sure does get tedious, don't it? :)

Yep! It's tough and someone has to do it...so it may as well be you and Shirley, Yorky. Hang in there! I know you can do it!

    Enjoy! :)

    1. Not too happy about the thumping bass from the poolside bar but we all have our crosses to bear I guess.

  6. I've never seen the sun setting over the sea as of course we live on the east coast and only see the sun rising over the ocean... and I can't say I've seen many of them !! Your holiday sounds like a real holiday and not a trip.. if you get my drift??? Enjoy yourselves and relax.

    1. "Trip" v "holiday"? I know what you mean Helen. Yes. This is a holiday for my hardworking nurse-woman.

  7. Envious, moi? Living with the wettest, coldest May/June I can recall, of course I am! Enjoy yourselves. (That's a suggestion; I wouldn't dream of telling you what to do.)
