ReplyDeleteDid you think it was a chicken?
DeleteOnly six out of ten this time. I am not familiar enough with US geography and went for b) with the Indonesian islands; also I wasn't sure about #10.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you tried your best young lady!
DeleteHuh, didn't do too well this time - 6/10 - I knew 2, 5, 6, 7, and 9 ! Geography was my favourite subject (after Art) when I was at school, but the world has changed a lot since then! Alaska has since become part of the USA for starters!
ReplyDeleteI expect better things from you Carol! Must try harder!
DeleteWhat did the bishop say about 7 out of 10?
ReplyDeleteThe bishop says, "Let's try again next week Sister Frances."
DeleteWhat is the population of Yorkshire, and what are their names?
ReplyDeleteWithin our ancient boundaries there are more people than in Scotland which always niggles me as we don't get anything like the extra funding and attention that Scotland enjoys.
Deleteperhaps if you all wore kilts...(*~*)
DeleteWhilst I got most of the answers to your questions right - for heaven's sake the Nile was drummed into us at primary school age, not to mention Calcutta and the Ganges, Paris is on the Seine - once more I can confirm that I am not particularly competitive. So much so that my youngest sister once asked me why I put myself out to always let our other sister "win", always conceding that she is the best in whatever sphere of life. Well, you know, sometimes keeping peace intact, other people misguidedly happy, is worth more than our own I don't know what ... vanity, ego? I can afford it.

Nearly perfect and might have been perfect depending on interpretation of number three. I guessed Chongquing, China and according to google, it does have the largest population (32 million to Tokyo's 13.5 million). But Tokyo has a larger population if you ignore city boundaries and lump in the suburbs.
ReplyDeleteYou are right to point out that the arithmetic of population figures is not always straightforward.
DeletePitiful this week, 30%. Must do better,
ReplyDeleteAnd you a transatlantic traveller too!
DeleteThree out of ten. In MLB I would be a highly sought after hitter:)
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Perhaps stick to nursing!
DeleteThose mint balls look...questionable.
ReplyDeleteThose are not just any mint balls. They are A.I. mint balls.
DeleteI only got two today.
ReplyDeleteAt least you were brave enough to admit this Dave.
DeleteOnly 3 for me. Can we try something besides geography, Neil?
