Well, there hasn't been a "Quiztime" for a month so I thought it was about time. Today's cheerful topic is dead politicians. All of the figures shown below were famous in their time but who were they? For each of them, I have provided an helpful clue. Answers will, as usual, be given in the "Comments" section.

  4. I missed three. I had no idea about Bob Hawke and also missed Harold Wilson. I should have recognized Mugabe, but instead guessed Papa Doc Duvalier. (who looks nothing like Mugabe)

    2. PS: I was once in a lift with Bob Hawke. He was charismatic even in old age. He was a bastard to his wife and family but that isn't so unusual for alpha males.

  16. 10/10 - the only one that made me pause was Ford. I had a “what was his name?” moment. Not sure I would have got Franco without the clue. Bhutto I know where I was when the news broke.
