Six is better than any MAGAt would score.
DeleteI only know #5: Bob Hawke and #6: Eva Peron.
ReplyDeleteAt least you are honest Elsie!
DeleteI missed three. I had no idea about Bob Hawke and also missed Harold Wilson. I should have recognized Mugabe, but instead guessed Papa Doc Duvalier. (who looks nothing like Mugabe)
ReplyDeleteSeven deserves a little applause.
Delete7/10 -- I missed Bob Hawke, Robert Mugabe, and Harold Wilson.
ReplyDeleteMissed them? You should have got to the station earlier.
Delete6/10 which is above average for me:)
ReplyDeleteSorry there were no Canadians in the quiz.
DeleteI didnt get Hawke or Mugabe. Got the others.
ReplyDeleteMany citizens of Zimbabwe didn't "get" Mugabe either.
DeletePretty sure this is your first quiz where I have scored 10/10.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the pinyin (modern romanization) for Mao's given name is Zedong.
Well done Marcellous! You certainly know your dead politicians and thanks for the small correction. Appreciated.
DeleteNever knew Bob Hawke, and missed Gerald Ford and Harold Wilson. 7 out of 10 this time.
ReplyDeleteBob Hawke said the same about you Meike. Do you still miss Ford and Wilson? Actually seven out of ten is pretty good.
DeletePS: I was once in a lift with Bob Hawke. He was charismatic even in old age. He was a bastard to his wife and family but that isn't so unusual for alpha males.
DeleteWell, you should know Marcellous!
DeleteI only got 1 and 6.....couldn't think of Wilson though knew I knew it..if you see what I mean!! Pathetic score.
ReplyDeleteYou said it Frances! Better luck next time!
Delete8/10. I missed 2 and 10.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that you got Bob Hawke Andrew.
Delete7 out of 10. Good to see Harold Wilson.
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad that the life of such a brilliant man should end in Alzheimer's.
Delete4/10. Two by face (Brezhnev and Mao), two by your clues (Mussolini and Peron)...
ReplyDeleteSorry there were no dead Swedish politicians Monica!
DeleteWow, I feel ignorant. I only got #1, 2, 6, and 9. :(
ReplyDeleteYou are younger than me and Cro Magnon - see his comment below.
DeleteI got all of them, but I'm the right age!
ReplyDeleteYou mean you were born in the same year as Mussolini? Similar personalities.
DeleteIt's my birthday today. I'm 27.
DeleteHappy 79th Birthday Benito! Same age as Donald Trump!
DeleteGrrrrrr.
Delete10/10 - the only one that made me pause was Ford. I had a “what was his name?” moment. Not sure I would have got Franco without the clue. Bhutto I know where I was when the news broke.
ReplyDeleteWell done! Were you in Rawalpindi, mingling with the crowd?
DeleteLOL No I was in an airport lounge waiting to catch a flight to Mexico City. Our plane was delayed due to snow.
Delete60% this week, must do better.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteI got them all except Harold Wilson, whose name I've heard many times but whose face I don't know at all. (I guessed on Bob Hawke but fortunately was correct!)
ReplyDeleteI thought that Harold Wilson was a gay icon!
Delete6/10 - practically brilliant for me!
ReplyDeleteFor an ex-teacher that is awesome Janice!
DeleteOnly 4 out of 10.
ReplyDeleteI hope you knew Ford Ellen!
DeleteOK, here are my guesses:
ReplyDelete#1 - Mussolini
#2 - Gerald Ford
#3 - Generalissimo Franco
#4 - Madame Nehru (?)
#5 - (no idea)
#6 - Eva Peron
#7 - Brezhnev
#8 - (just a guess) Idi Amin (?)
#9 - Chairman Mao
#10 - Is it the guy who does the nature shows? No name comes to me.
Oh dear, just checked the answers and I only got 6 out of 10. Arrgghhh!
