Remnants

We will be heading home tonight - our pleasant sojourn in Lanzarote completed. This hotel has been brilliant though we have learnt that in a previous incarnation it was called "Spice" and was a swingers hotel. People with very liberal morals came to fornicate by the pool, and swap partners etcetera. I must assure you that during our stay Aqua Suites' guests have not been behaving in that pornographic manner. We have upheld the highest standards of decency at all times - as in a monastery or nunnery.

Before we go, I just thought I would share a dozen random Lanzarote pictures that you haven't seen before and then I will take a stroll down to the HyperDino supermarket for some bread rolls, massage oil, sardines and condoms. By clicking on the photos you will be able to enlarge them:-

  1. A swingers hotel! That's hilarious. I bet the walls could tell some stories. (Probably none you'd want to hear.) That's the most evil-looking seagull I've ever seen.

  2. beautiful shots, Mr. Pudding. A place I had never heard of until you. Might be worth a winter visit, yes? Sorry your holiday has come to an end, now it is back to your other holiday...I just had eye surgery so can not read but the photos are fabulous, thank you!

    1. Well I hope the eye surgery has been successful Linda Sue. Yes - Lanzarote is I understand a good venue for winter sunshine.

  4. Wow has your week in Lanzarote ended already? I had to catch up belatedly on your posts from there. You sound as if you have had an interesting time, even without the swinging! Mrs YP will be getting some ideas, no doubt, which she will take back to Sheffield.

  5. Glad you have had a good week. The forecast is not all that good for next week over here so you should meet it with fortitude whatever it throws at us.

    1. I shall not meet it with fortitude, I shall meet it with a plastic mac and a brolly.

    1. We were so glad we bothered to drive up to Mirador del Rio. Spectacular! In the men's toilet someone had carved "COPPA WOZ ERE!" long ago.

  8. Wonderful photos, YP. I like the birds lined up along the wall!

And you look quite happy in that first shot. Was it hard to get the lipstick off??

    1. The lipstick was easy to remove but as you can see I foolishly painted a moustache on my upper lip with a permanent marker - I just can't get it off.

    1. May I conclude that you and your good lady don't visit swingers resorts regularly?
