Lazy in Puerto del Carmen. Mushroom and cheese omelette for breakfast followed by slices of ripe papaya. Then lying idle by the pool reading our novels. It's a fifteen minute walk to the beach and there's a stiff breeze just now. It costs twelve euros to rent two sunbeds and a beach umbrella. You might not be able to put the umbrella up in the breeze. Maybe we'll just mosey on down with our towels, take a quick dip, dry off and come back up the hill. The gradient of the beach is such that we'll have to paddle a fair way out before we can swim. Life is filled with problems like this. In the meantime here's a bunch of pictures from around our holiday complex.
The rare Lanzarote palm - Cleanus Lanzarotius |
You should try and get a cutting of that rare palm, you could clean up.
ReplyDeleteGood idea Sue. I will try tomorrow.
DeleteLike I know a lot about gardening. Nice pictures Mr David Bailey. I've been asleep a lot recently.

ReplyDeleteAs her hubby knows, that's always advisable Libby.
DeleteThat blue sky is just incredible!
ReplyDeleteTo me it is credible as I saw it today.
DeleteLiving the life...brilliant indeed. Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr B. I warn you...I am coming over to your blog real soon.
DeleteAre you sure you and Shirley have enough energy to make it to the water? Wouldn't want you to get there and then be so lazy and relaxed and tired that you would have to Uber it back to your digs!
ReplyDeleteWe did go to the beach. The water was crystal clear and there was a sandy bottom - no rocks. I swam twice and then we dried off and had cold beers in Spender's Bar.
DeleteAaaahhhhh! The serenity!!
ReplyDeleteLife is good!
ReplyDeleteSorry YP - doesn't sound the holiday for me, but I could do with a bit of the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteIt looks idyllic YP although I tend to steer clear of beaches other than for a stroll - too much bloody sand getting everywhere!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the life! I can feel the sunshine! Up here in the north, it is rare! Thank you for this warm post!
ReplyDeleteBetter you than me as I can't take the hot temperatures. I suppose you two are happier that way as well! That Cleanus Lanzarotius is an unusual green. Must be from being inside all the time.
ReplyDeleteWell it sounds as if your knee is getting some sort of a rest even if your elbow isn't.
ReplyDeleteLife is rough! I like Sue's comment. :)
