"O God, I could be bounded in a nut shell and count myself
a king of infinite space,
were it not that I have bad dreams."
- Hamlet Act II scene ii
On Puffin Island, the little puffins all go to nursery school.
This is Peter Puffin. He's a nice little puffin.
The Donald puffin is way, way too cute!
Yellow is the colour of cowardice.
Not a Penelope bedtime story, I'm sure.
...Penelope Puffin greeted the new boy with an enthusiastic kiss. Not easy when you have a beak like that. The new boy was called Andrew, Andrew Puffin. Rather than kissing girls he preferred to read books - Puffin books.
Very good! Made me laugh.
You must have a sophisticated sense of humour Sansthing.
I used to think all puffins were cute. I had no idea there was a Donald and a Vladimir!Perhaps they could be exiled together on a remote little island somewhere far away.
That remote little island ought to be Australia - assuming of course that you have room for them.
Absolutely NOT!!! And there is nothing little about Australia.
Don't frighten the children. Would it not be marvellous that with a flick of the wrist we could change all dictators into frogs.
With a flick of the wrist, Liz Truss has been turned into Aunt Sally from the Worzel Gummidge stories.
The Donald Puffin does not look nasty at all. I quite like his yellow socks, I have a similar pair.
Appearances can be deceptive.
Is there a Yorkshire Puffin?
There are hundreds of them at Flamborough Head in the breeding season though there used to be thousands.
Do they all have blogs called Yorkshire Puffin?
Only the gay ones.
I think Peter Puffin looks very cute. Do you think he would like to come and live with me?
Peregrine Puffin might object.
My father volunteers at an aquarium along the Oregon Coast and i always love seeing the puffins there ... though never a Vlad Puffin,
I like Thelma's advice -- don't frighten the children! LOL
Well, it's said that most traditional children's nursery rhymes and bedtime stories have unpleasant origins. I suppose it's too much to hope that the modern ones are any different. I like Peter Puffin too - he looks a nice little fellow. In fact, apart from Vlad., they all look cute, and even Donald looks as though he wouldn't cause too much trouble!
