Signs

I spotted the sign pictured above when out rambling near Peak Forest this afternoon. I agree with that sign. We should all be wary of bull when we come across it. Perhaps they should have glued an identical sign  on to the door of the US Capitol ahead of the Kavanaugh Hearings.

Still thinking of Brett Kavanaugh, I came across the sign shown below when rambling on Tuesday. It was just there on a field gate near the hamlet of Foldrings. Strangely, there was no inn or pub in sight, just a cow field with no cows.

  1. Go on admit it...it's your sign

    1. Yes you are right. I had the bull sign specially made but heavens knows who had the other sign made!

  2. We could use the Bull sign on our White House at the moment. I watched part of the Kavanaugh hearings today and was particularly struck by something that had nothing to do with the accused attack. It is of particular importance that a Supreme Court Judge be non-partisan. When Kavanaugh spoke he sounded anything but non-partisan. Right now one of our biggest problems is the split in our governing officials. When people cannot work together nothing gets done. We cannot have Supreme Court Judges taking political sides and today I sure got that impression from him.

    1. I have been watching it too. His responses to Democrat questioning were often aggressive.

  3. Sometimes a second look at a sign gives us a different perspective. So that's a good one for politicians.

    1. I agree that the first sign could help to guide politicians.

  4. I watched much of the hearings today but late in the afternoon I began thinking, "this is a helluva way to waste a day." Yes, definitely the Bull sign could be used in Washington but then that's always been true. As for the Cock Well Inn, must be Brit talk.

    1. Yes - the second sign could not be Arizona talk! Too many retirees!

  5. It's a wonder the whole surface of the world isn't lush and green. There is an over-supply of manure, that is for sure.

  7. Such multi-purpose signs are a good sign (!) of the economical thinking of whoever put them up, I suppose.
As for the Kavanaugh hearing, I was at work all day and only caught a tiny bit that was shown on the main news at 8:00 last night. Even if I had been at home, I would not have spent my time watching the hearing.

    1. To me it was gripping drama. Kavanaugh seemed like a wimp - gulping down water and almost crying, "It's not fair!" like a wronged child.

  9. I'm having a really hard time with the Kavanaugh hearing. I didn't expect to feel so much despair and anger and hurt. This is going to be our next Supreme Court justice and it's a damn travesty. The Republicans would still force through his confirmation if they had video of him raping someone. The ends always justify the means to them.

    1. How did a blubbering pasty-faced child like Kavanaugh ever get to be captain of his high school basketball team? And how much water did he reach for while delivering his whining testimony? To me he didn't seem to have the sharpness and calm, measured character one would hope to find in a member of The Supreme Court.

  10. Beware of bull.
Yes, bull can be found almost anywhere you may care to look.
