I thought that I would let you know that we are going on holiday in an hour or so.
Florida? Indonesia? Greece? Perhaps Surfers' Paradise with an apostrophe in Queensland Australia or snorkelling in The Maldives? No, none of these. We are off to Spark Bridge - at the southernmost end of The English Lake District via The Snake Pass (A57) the M60 round Manchester and the M6 up to the north west of the country.
I will be taking our old laptop with me even though the letter "S" key no longer works so blogging might be a little problematic. We will be away from home for a week.
Have fun, Mr. and Mrs. Pudding!
ReplyDeleteYou could always use th instead of s. We'll forgive you the lapse this once!
ReplyDeleteHave a good holiday - hope the weather is kind to you.
The name came from just one person, you know. That great surfer in 1960's. I can't remember his name but the town name should be spelt Surfer's Paradise. The lad was known back then as Surfer.
ReplyDeleteSouthernmost sounds like better weather, and I hope it is for you. Oh, but then you head north. With limited experience, I've found it always best to avoid Manchester and go around. It has a reputation as the third most....I can't remember.
Enjoy your trip through The Snake Pass...and beyond. I googled The Snake Pass because I love the name. The landscape is incredible.
ReplyDeleteHave great fun and take lots of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my time in the Lake District 20+ years ago. I'm guessing a lot has changed since then.
ReplyDeleteBon voyage Mr P.
ReplyDeleteI have every confidence that a gentleman of your intelligence and ability will be able to cope with a keyboard lacking a particular letter, either by avoiding that letter entirely like I am doing or by holding down the ALT key while typing 83 or 115 (big letter and little letter) on the numeric keypad (with NUM LOCK off).
ReplyDeleteCorrection - NUM LOCK should be ON.
DeleteHappy holidays Mr. and Mrs. Pudding.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday! The two of you have been working so hard on top of the emotional impact of Simon‘s death, you really need a rest and change of scene.
ReplyDeleteAnd when you tell us about park Bridge and the Lake Ditrict, we‘ll know it is not your error but the S on the keyboard not working anymore.
Enjoy, and I hope the weather is kind to you both.

ReplyDeleteJust in case, here are some sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...
Just use the $ instead of the s - simplest fix of all :) Have a good time!
ReplyDeleteWe will forgive you if you don't write any pot containing the letter before T
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful week away. I know you told us where you will be, but I don't know England at all, so I will just imagine how pretty it is there.
ReplyDeleteMadonna sang Holiday. Drink some Jennings bitter and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely holiday.
ReplyDeleteIf you are close by and fancy a brew, message me. We shall vac the red carpet!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels, Neil! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteA blog post with no letter S should be an interesting challenge! (Either for you the writer or for us, the readers!) Have a good trip.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the weather is kind to you.
