Rhymes

It's heart-warming when you hear that a fellow blogger has achieved some sort of success in life. Robert Brague (aka Rhymes With Plague) is not a boastful sort of fellow and has modestly refrained from announcing his film breakthrough success in his blog. But see the film poster above. Jinx Beatz clearly saw mileage in our blogging friend - even naming the film after him. The black gentleman playing Bob said, "His life story inspired me. I hope I have done Rhymes with Plague justice".

  1. The poster doesn't say Rhymes WITH Plague, it says Rhymes THE Plague. Not the same thing. Plus there is a numeral, 2, at the beginning. Are we to understand there are TWO Rhymes The Plagues? I was pretty good at math in school; and 0 Rhymes With Plagues times 2 Rhymes THE Plague.equals 0. The movie scores a big fat 0 in my book. And the guy in the poster looks like one of the Borg from the TV series Star Trek - The Next Generation. It's not even original.

You see, don't you, how misreading a poster can lead you far afield? I hope you've learned your lesson.

But I do appreciate the nod in my direction.

    1. No need to be so bashful sir! Wriggling to deflect the applause when you should be basking in the spotlight. Please accept my personal congratulations on this amazing achievement!

  2. Yorky, I am scared to comment. But looks like those Photoshopping classes from Adrian have been working a treat. BTW, as mentioned this morning, no censoring from me. You only let one comment on my Yellow post to Mr Oliver. I might have censored the xoxo bit. Soz.

    1. Carol - NO PHOTOSHOPPING! This is a genuine poster. And what is xoxo? Rude Aussie slang?

  3. Phew so glad it wasn't Robert after all but then the photo gave the game away. Only a passing resemblance there really.

    1. Passing resemblance? That guy is a dead ringer for the Bragueotron! The only difference being the colour of his skin.

    2. It's not the colour of my skin that matters, it's the content of my character, per Martin Luther King, Jr. in his August 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech in Washington, D.C.

    1. You are right Earl. Bob should just take a bow and accept the flowers.
