A selection of photographs I snapped during our very long weekend in London. Actually, it's also a kind of quiz for your delectation. Each picture is numbered. At the bottom there are five captions - all lettered - but can you work out which picture goes with which caption? It is an intellectual challenge that might have even defeated Albert Einstein!

C Ian and Shirley at Leicester Square tube station after we had been to see "The Lion King"
D Tourist writing home in the courtyard of Somerset House
E Elizabeth Tower (aka Big Ben) seen through The London Eye
Oh....that quiz is far too difficult for me to work out, Yorkie!!! Come on now - you're being very unfair!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry Lee! I sometimes forget that the world is filled with dumbness!
DeleteHow dumb of you to forget, Yorkie.
DeleteHow on earth is a Canadian who's never been to London supposed to work this out??
ReplyDelete:)
The Egyptian geese are strikingly beautiful.
...and quite rare. Only 1100 breeding pairs in Great Britain.
DeleteHaven't a clue...after all, we don't even speak English here in the good ole US of A!
ReplyDeleteNo. Y'all speak American!
Delete5-C.....4-B .....3-A .....2-E .....1-D. Oh, Brother, am I right? Hope your knee is feeling better. My good friend, Brook, who is a member of the Frog Hollow Stitch & Bitch Club, had her knee replaced on Friday. Talked to her today and she is walking with only a cain, has only to take Tylanol before her physical therapy, and is feeling just wonderful for the first time in 15 years!! Think about it my friend! Lovely time you spent with your gorgeous son.....if I were only 25 years younger, he would be on my radar!! Just kidding, Mr. Pudding.
ReplyDeleteMature ladies can be very lecherous! Also, he is virtually your nephew! I never knew that you were a hillbilly Mama Bear!...By the way you were the first one to complete the quiz correctly. Well done!
DeletePeace thyme is absolutely right!
ReplyDeleteWhat? My son is on your radar too?
DeleteI'll go with Peace and Thyme because I'm pressed for thyme today.
ReplyDeleteAlphie
Shoulda been a stand-up comedian Alphie!
DeleteOoh this is very difficult first thing in the morning YP !! I'll just go and have a cup of coffee and think about it....
ReplyDeleteI apologise for setting the quiz bar so high CG.
DeleteHmm... I'd say 5A and 1B, but I can't work out the rest. Unfair!!!
ReplyDeleteQuizzes can be frustrating when you don't know the answers. Sorry if I made you feel intellectually inadequate Meike.
DeleteAt least you had the good sense to go to the bar floor of the Shard and get a drink. I paid for the observation deck which is ridiculously expensive and comes with NO DRINK!
ReplyDeleteOur daughter works in The Shard so she advised against a visit right to the top. BUT and this is a big BUT, my non-alcoholic cocktail cost (gulp!) £9!!!!
DeleteI sent you an email (again) Mr. Pudding. If you don't get it this time, may I suggest you check your junk or spam folders just in case they're going there instead of your inbox? :)
ReplyDeleteI shall go over very shortly. To me you are not junk Jennifer! You are a human being!
DeleteNext time try the sky garden , the view from there ( the shard itself) is breathtaking x
ReplyDeleteThanks YP for your words of comfort.
ReplyDeleteIf the drinks are so expensive you'd think they'd serve it in a glass and not a jam jar.
