Anyway, without further ado, I can now happily inform readers of this humble Yorkshire blog that the Laughing Horse Blogger of the Year for 2023 is....
David Godfrey for "Adventures of Travel Penguin"
David blogs out of Washington D.C. in the United States of America. Starting out in 2005, "Travel Penguin" was meant to be a glorified travel journal but over the years its character evolved into something more varied than that.
David's blog is well-organised with regular features and participatory requests. He comes across as upbeat and optimistic, finding joy in simple things and he responds to comments with courtesy and warmth. There are great photo-illustrations and his enthusiasm for seeing other places remains as strong as it was back in 2005.
Unfortunately, David was unable to fly up to The Virgin Airlines Laughing Horse World Superjet on New Year's Eve owing to a minor malfunction in the connecting tube as the Laughing Horse revellers cruised above Virginia. Sir Richard Branson was mortified and insisted that he himself should present David with his award this afternoon.
Well done David! You deserve to be The Laughing Horse Blogger of the Year for 2023. Please copy and paste the prize widget into your blog, Here's a speechless Mr Godfrey below:-
An excellent choice! All hail!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look at this blog. You certainly drag things out to heighten the suspense.
ReplyDeleteTP is a worthy addition to the global hall of fame. He always seems so organised.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mr Penguin! I may have visited your blog at some time in the past, but never since and I shall pop in today.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, David!
ReplyDeleteAs a previous recipient of this prestigious award, I can tell you that your life will never be the same again. From now on, you are a public figure, unable to remain incognito unless you disguise yourself heavily. You‘ll get used to having strangers ask you to pose for a selfie with them where ever you go; it can be a bit annoying, but after all, it‘s the fans that make your fame.
He looks a little like Dave Myers.
ReplyDeleteDavid means beloved. Well done David. I hope JayCee wins it next year.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! A prestigious award justly deserved.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Travel!! A well-deserved honor!
ReplyDeleteI am stunned. Thank you!
