Well, I'm rather disappointed with my results. I only got half correct. I didn't spend much time pondering, which might have given me another correct answer or two, but I figure in real life there is a time limit on these quizzes.
ReplyDeletethe only answer I have is for #9.
ReplyDeleteI got four. Bah!
ReplyDeleteI got three right. Be thankful I'm not on your quiz team:)
ReplyDeleteI got umbrage, submarine and oxtail soup. I'd not be much of an asset on trivia night!
ReplyDelete3.Fettuccini.
ReplyDelete4. Ten pin bowling.
9. Oxtail
10. The Addams Family.
Best not to invite me along.
I got two of them. Then again, I make no claim to know a lotof trivia
ReplyDeleteI got most of them, but I didn't know "umbrage" (that's the shadow cast by trees?) and I'm terrible at anagrams. And I didn't understand that no. 7 was all the same year, so I guessed 1979 for one of those!
ReplyDelete7, 8, 9 and 10 were really easy. I am not familiar with ten pin bowling and so could only guess at 4. 3 wasn't difficult since I am fluent in Italian. As for the rest, they were a mix of "can't be bothered to put the creaky gears of my mind in motion at this time of the morning, pre-breakfast" and "I know I should know this, but am not sure".
ReplyDeleteHow did your team fare anyway?
#1-Bangladesh #2- George Harrison #9-Oxtail soup.
ReplyDeleteDo I win a prize?
Oh dear, I only know No 9 !! I did think that " gutter ball" was probably ten pin bowling though!
ReplyDeleteI only knew 2, 8 and 9! Good job I'm not in your team YP!
ReplyDeleteGot them all right!! But only after reading your answers.
ReplyDeleteOxtail soup was all I could answer correctly.
ReplyDeleteI would be stuck buying the next round.
ReplyDeleteI knew 3. My son is on a trivia team and they took 1st last week. Obviously, my son doesn't get his talent from me! :)
ReplyDeleteI got half, 3,4, 8, 9, and 10. I might have gotten 6 if I spent a couple minutes on it but usually the quiz shows I have participated don't give you a lot of time to ponder things.
ReplyDeleteOnly #'s 4, 8 and 9. I'm ashamed of myself, no need to chide me.
ReplyDeleteOK I am a dunce.
ReplyDeleteI got 8 hello !
ReplyDeleteI didn't even have a guess for most of them, and the only one I knew was No 9... (I've never tasted it, though!)
